Set to commence in April 2025, the renovation builds on the substantial upgrades made to Mosholu Golf Course in 2005 and 2006, when all tees, sand bunkers, and greens were rebuilt, with the exception of the first hole’s tees and fairway. This project completes that vision, delivering a reimagined opening hole designed to enhance playability, safety, and aesthetic appeal. Key elements of the renovation include:

Construction of new tees and a putting green to elevate the player experience.
Lowering a ridge to eliminate the blind tee shot, improving visibility and gameplay.
Installation of advanced irrigation systems to ensure sustainable course maintenance, complementing the City of New York’s state-of-the-art, four-story Water Treatment Center located beneath the adjacent driving range.
Erection of a safety fence to enhance player and community safety.
Comprehensive sodding and landscaping to create a visually stunning and cohesive first hole.
Earthmoving, grading, and drainage upgrades to optimize course conditions.
Bunker construction and renovation to align with modern design standards.
